Virginia ranks 12th in the nation in the numeral of persons caring for relatives, with nearly 700,000 Virginians serving as the primary caregiver representing a related. In sum, there are more than one million payable caregivers within the Commonwealth. Nine Virginians recently received the Governor’s Caregiver Recognition Award.
